Summary
From the creators of Dragons Love Tacos comes the story of what happens when a grumpy old man and some mischievous squirrels match wits–with hilarious results. Old Man Fookwire is a grump. The only thing he likes to do is paint pictures of the birds that visit his backyard. The problem is, they fly south every winter, leaving him sad and lonely. So he decides to get them to stay by putting up beautiful birdfeeders filled with seeds and berries. Unfortunately, the squirrels like the treats, too, and make a daring raid on the feeders. The conflict escalates–until the birds depart (as usual), and the squirrels come up with a plan that completely charms the old grump.

The Creatives Behind the Books
Author
Adam Rubin is the New York Times best-selling author of a half dozen critically-acclaimed picture books including Robo-Sauce and Dragons Love Tacos. He spent ten years working as a creative director in the advertising industry before leaving his day job to write full time. Adam has a keen interest in improv comedy, camping and magic tricks. He lives in New York City.
Illustrator
Daniel Salmieri is the New York Times bestselling illustrator of many fantastic picture books, including Secret Pizza Party and Robo-Sauce. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York, constantly drawing and painting images of ninja turtles, dinosaurs, and fighter jets (not in the same scene…), and graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
