Who's In Your Book? Books

The thirteen stories are shown in publication order, but each interactive adventure stands alone. There's a Monster in Your Book introduces the recurring cast and style; the smaller Little Chick, Little Snowman, and Little Ghost board books are especially suited to toddlers.

The reader's actions are part of the fun, so these books are strongest as participatory read-alouds. Several stories also practice social-emotional skills such as sharing, kindness, welcoming others, and choosing an appropriate voice.

Witches, ghosts, monsters, aliens, and a large dinosaur appear, but the tone is bright and reassuring rather than scary. The series mixes full-size picture books with short novelty board books, so length and age range vary.
