A pirate hat.
A sunny day.
For Penguin Blue
A game to play...
Penguin Blue is back in a swashbuckling new adventure about pirates, treasure, and friendship. While sailing the seven seas Captain Blue and his friends are unexpectedly sunk! But with a shipwreck to explore and a mysterious stranger on a desert island to meet, they might still find some treasure after all. The follow-up to the bestselling and award-winning Blown Away.
Reading contracts all day long. Not bad, but not quite as fun as reading about hobbits.
Sunk! is an adorable book about some polar friends who sail the seven seas for adventure. The illustrations are fun and clever, and the book has fantastic rhyming and is great for vocabulary expansion (e.g., buccaneers, marooned). Most fun of all, the friends show some real creativity when they figure out how to raise a sunken ship from the depths of the ocean. Added bonus if you can read with a pirate voice-- there are some really great lines ("Well, blow me away!") that really facilitate some fun.
