Sylvia Spivens refuses to eat spinach, but when the teacher gives her a package of spinach seeds for the class garden, she has no choice but to plant and nurture them.
Sylvia thinks spinach is disgusting, but it turns out that a classroom effort to create a garden changes her mind! She ends up helping to plant the spinach in their garden, tries it, and ends up loving it.
