It’s cold outside and snow is falling. Inside the fire is warm. The child, the velvet cat, the blue elephant, and the rocking horse are warm and sleepy. “Let’s go adventuring,” says the child. And the magic begins!
The title is aptly given as this book feels like an adventure. On one page you are in the Sahara, rubbing a lamp to fleeing from a wicked genie, and the next page you are careening down a waterfall with your pirate friends. The illustrations are playful and well-done. There are three monsters in this book: a yeti, a sea monster, and a wicked genie—which do make it a bit scarier than necessary.
