The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea, in a box on the living room floor. They sailed away for a year and a day and these are the things that they saw. Join two curious children on a quirky adventure, based on the classic Edward Lear poem, The Owl and the Pussycat. Illustrated by Charlotte Cooke, also known for Sunshine and Snowballs & Wish Upon a Dream, this exciting adventure tale will inspire the imaginations of children and adults alike.
This is more about presenting lots of little silly rhyming scenarios experienced by the two children on their imaginary journey rather than being a story which is fine!), and the illustrations are cute and there are lots of fun little details to spot as you go through.
Great book to talk about imagination. :) While less of a story, this book is has a lot of creatures and content to point out and talk through as you read along through the fun rhymes. I love the illustrations and love the premise that everything started with a cardboard box!
Charlotte Cooke can usually be found creating beautiful paintings in her studio or spending time with her family. Charlotte loves to dream of a world where everything is made of candy!
