Susan Quinn was born in Manchester but has travelled the world: by way of South Africa and Sydney. She became a children’s librarian at 23 and then moved back to England. Her first book, Little Bear and the Butterflies, was published by QED in 2014.
Duba Kolanovic lives in the lovely Mediterranean town of Zadar on the Croatian Adriatic coast. With a uniquely recognizable style, her love of nature is clearly present, from her adorable animals to her atmospheric landscapes.
Giles Paley-Phillips, is the award winning author of The Fearsome Beastie, winner of The People’s Book Prize 2012, Heart of Hawick Children’s Book Award 2013, Bizziebaby Gold Award and The US Forward National Literary Award. He has written several picture books and a collection of nonsense poetry.
Lucy Barnard grew up in a very artistic family and knew from an early age that she wanted to work in illustration. After graduating from the University of Plymouth with an illustration degree, Lucy worked in publishing for a time, before becoming a freelance illustrator and realising her ambition of working on children’s books.
Caroline Castle is the author of several picture book texts as well as two novels for older children. She has also illustrated two picture books for Piccadilly Press, Elizabeth Jane Gets Dressed and Mary Ann Can.
Leonie Roberts is the author of funny, teaching-related poetry and picture books for children.
