Bookroo's summary

When the King's goodnight kiss to the Little Prince escapes into the dark forest, he sends a brave knight to retrieve it. But the forest is filled with spooky creatures that test the knight's courage. Will the kiss find its way back to the castle, or will it be lost forever among the shadows? This enchanting tale of adventure and bravery is perfect for bedtime, with richly colored illustrations that bring the story to life. Join the quest and discover if the knight can overcome his fears to bring the kiss home.

"The knight mounted his horse...and galloped off in hot pursuit until they came to the wild wood. Wild creatures with wild eyes, too much hair and very bad manners lived there. It was dark. It was smelly. It was...snowing!"

From the publisher

One evening, when the King is in a hurry, his goodnight kiss to the Little Prince goes astray. After rattling around the Prince’s bedroom, it flies out the window and floats into the dark forest, where it has no business to be. The King decides to do something about it. He orders the Knight to climb on his horse, ride into the forest, and bring back the kiss. But the forest is filled with spooky things that frighten both the Knight and his horse. How will they ever succeed in bringing the kiss back to the castle? This funny story features Daivd Melling’s atmospheric and richly colored illustrations on every page. It makes a great bedtime story for kids who are about the same age as the Little Prince.
