The bestselling picture book that Publisher’s Weekly calls “simultaneously sassy and sweet.” Rabbit loves carrots — and that’s a big problem! In this phenomenal bestseller, Rabbit loves carrots a little too much. In fact, his carrots are crowding him out of his cozy burrow. When his friends offer to help, they’re just asking for trouble — a lot of trouble! This charming and lovingly illustrated children’s book, by acclaimed author Katy Hudson (A Loud Winter’s Nap and Bear and Duck), shows how friendships get us over the rough spots in life, even if the going gets a little bumpy. Too Many Carrots is the perfect springtime, Eastertime, and anytime gift.
Darling illustrations and a cute story about a little rabbit's journey to realize it's not all about you and having enough space for your carrots! It's a great message and there are an appropriate number of words per page, so your little one doesn't get too antsy before it's time to turn the page. Bonus points in my book for illustrations that tell part of the story too!
Great book about sharing, and Rabbit learns that friends are more important than things--his carrots. I love the illustrations in this book and love that they show the story every step of the way!
Katy was raised in Middlesbrough and started her Illustration career as a small child drawing on freshly emulsioned walls around the house! Her parents quickly dissuaded this medium and encouraged drawing with pencil and paper instead. The idea stuck (the pencil was updated to an ink pot and pen in some cases) and after some lovely time at Art College and a degree in Illustration Katy is now a freelance Illustrator based in London. Her debut author/illustrated picture book “Bear and Duck” was published by Harper Collins in June 2015, her second “Too Many Carrots” was published by Capstone in February 2016. She is currently working on her third and fourth picture books and is very excited about that!
Nothing yet! Let Katy Hudson know that you want to hear from them about their book.
