Turtle Tug is on the lookout! This chugging, tugging turtle powers through gusty winds and treacherous tides, combing the seas to protect his friends from a dangerous storm. From panicking puffins to entangled sperm whales, Turtle Tug is out to rescue all his sea-dwelling friends. He’s a turtle tugboat on a mission to make the world a safer place.
I enjoy Michael Slack's illustrations and wordplay in this (and Elecopter). With fun rhymes and bold full page images, Turtle Tug is an exciting story to read aloud, especially to a young child who likes turtle characters and rescue stories.
From the author/illustrator of Elecopter comes another rhyming tale of an animal/emergency vehicle hybrid out to save the day! I never would have expected that to be such a winning formula, but my kids love it! Turtle Tug certainly follows the pattern of Elecopter, but with a very different setting and very different animals involved, it doesn't feel repetitive.
