This is a childhood favorite of mine and hasn't lost any of its charm through years of re-reading. The story of Wombat who wants despearately to be part of the nativity play is simple, yet delightful, and the repetition pulls the story together rather than making it feel worn out. Wombat is a uniquely lovable character.
Wombat takes you through all of the Nativity parts till he find the perfect one for him. This sweet and simple story is fun and emphasizes the most important part of the nativity!
