Charming illustrations and fun, engaging rhymes will enchant toddlers as they learn about the wind; holding kites high in the spring, pushing sailboats in the summer, tossing leaves around in the fall, and making snowflakes dance in the winter. Hanna Konola’s illustrations are popular the world over.
This is a fairly short book. It goes through each month of the year and how the wind is different in those seasons. I like that it teaches the the months in order, that is a hard one for little kids to wrap their minds around at first and this book lays it out for them to see. It is also fun for them to see how the seasons change from month to month.
HANNA KONOLA lives and works in Helsinki, Finland, designing paper products and magazines as well as books with her signature playful but sensitive style. She received a YCN Professional Design Award in 2014.
