For a factual book about the revolutionary times in America, this is a great book. It holds its words to a minimum which is preferred in a children's picture book. This definitely holds the interest of a child and adult. Learning about Alexander's and Aaron's duel could be sad and shocking, yet, Don Brown clearly writes of time period that this took place. This was not an uncommon event of those times. Beautiful illustrations.
