Daddies Are Awesome

Meredith Costain is a versatile, award-winning author of picture books, poetry, fiction and non-fiction for children, from Melbourne, Australia. Her picture books include Mommies are Amazing, Daddies are Awesome, The Cuddliest Hug, and Musical Harriet, which was adapted for television by the ABC. Her latest series – the quirky Ella Diaries and Olivia’s Secret Scribbles – have sold in translation all over the world. Meredith enjoys wrangling her many pets – who frequently provide ideas for her stories – and presenting writing workshops for kids and adults in libraries and schools. Her hobbies include reading, sleeping, playing blues piano and searching for the perfect chocolate bar!

Polona Lovšin is the illustrator of Daddies Are Awesome. She grew up on her grandparents’ farm in Slovenia, where her dad gave her colored pencils and paints as a child. She went on to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia, before beginning her career as an illustrator.
