Audrey Miller isn’t thrilled about moving to a new town or starting eighth grade at a new school. Things start looking up when she meets Ryan, a wide receiver on the school’s football team. Audrey loves playing football and decides to join the team. But the other boys on the team only see her as a girl, not a football player. And not only are they mean to her, but they’re cruel to Ryan as well. As Audrey and Ryan’s friendship grows, Ryan admits to Audrey that their teammates stopped being friends with him because he had a crush on a boy. Can both Audrey and Ryan prove themselves on the field and change their teammates’ minds about what it takes to be a truly great athlete?
