Henry the Canada Goose is late for his family’s annual migration south. When Henry realizes they have left without him, he tries to catch up. But Henry flies too far south and lands in Antarctica where he meets Del penguin and his family. He becomes best friends with Del and stay with his family for the winter. When Henry returned home in the spring, his family is fascinated with Henry’s experience and new-found friends. The next spring, Henry’s father suggests they visit Henry’s friends in Antarctica. The penguins were thrilled to see Henry again and host his entire family for the winter.
