“The edgy illustrations totally change the dynamic of this extra sweet topic (hugs!) to make it peppy and energetic, feeling very much like a rambunctious child, rather than the soothingly sweet cadence you might have come to expect from a book all about hugging. I always get hugs from my toddler after reading this one, which is definitely a plus in my book, as well as give out a few myself, making it the perfect opportunity to show a little extra affection. I particularly love the final pages where the little boys' hug energy is given a boost by his mother's hug.”
