"I love you flying through the sky— fearless, strong, and proud."
— from the book
Parents and children learn how to say “I love you” through yoga as they move through their day together in a perfectly mindful way.
I love you in the morning when we salute the sun.
Wiggle and stretch out of bed, our day has now begun.
From morning to night, I Yoga You celebrates the love a parent shares with their child while also teaching simple yoga poses. Sun salutations give way to mountain poses, tree poses, and more as families move through their mindful day together.
This padded board book teaches little ones a new way to say “I love you”—reveling in those quiet daily moments that shine with energy, delight, and surprises.
This original, yoga-themed take on an “I love you” book encourages physical exercise and mindful movement during day-to-day moments with family. The playful illustrations are impressive in the way they naturally incorporate yoga poses into regular activities such as reading time, puddle jumping, an angry spell, and watering plants. The last page of this delightful and substantive board book contains an entirety of the yoga poses used throughout the book along with each of their names. This encourages an enjoyable experience of looking back through the book to notice and name the yoga moves. The rhyming text includes a few references to yoga and movement, though there are more mentions in regard to family, play, and feelings. The rhyming falls short in more than one place with rhymes like “gray / place” and “down / proud,” but the content, style, and illustrations more than make up for the the near rhymes. The colorful illustrations gorgeously depict a diverse group of characters and parent-child relationships. From the light of day to night-time namaste, this board book prompts meditative motion in all readers, be they parent or child.
“A yoga-themed read that inspires mindfulness and love in everyday family life.”

Each page of this yoga-themed book includes at least one yoga pose. What poses did you know before reading, and which ones were new to you? Did you catch the stuffed animals posing in the illustrations, too?
The gallery at the end of the book shows all of the yoga poses in the book with their names. Like the last page asks, which pose is your favorite? Which pose is the hardest for you to do?
