JP’s dad decides the car needs a wash. But to JP, the carwash is scary, especially when it starts to look like a giant octopus! But JP soon realizes that the octopus is friendly and that he can be brave. With an innocent yet fun plotline, young readers will quickly learn how to cope with their own fears just like JP.
Ana Crespo is originally from Brazil. Before becoming a children’s book author, Ana worked as an academic advisor and as a translator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s in education. Ana lives in Colorado with her husband, two kids, and a variety of wildlife.
Erica Sirotich is an illustrator residing in St. Petersburg, Florida. She likes animals, coffee, books, and adding to her collections of rocks, stamps, and Japanese kokeshi. Her dog Russell Redfur keeps her company while she draws all day. Erica’s authorial debut, the picture book Found Dogs, was published by Dial Books for Young Readers in July, 2017. She has also illustrated picture books for publishers like Little Simon, Running Press, and Albert Whitman & Co, and regularly illustrates for kids’ publications like Highlights, Ranger Rick Jr, Boy’s Life, and more.
