She picks Aunt Millie for a traveling partner, and Glacier Park as her destination, because her brother Charlie is there working for the CCC. Along the way, Kit meets a pair of girl hobos, a Pullman Porter, a girl who lives on a ranch in Montana, a Blackfoot Indian girl, and even President Franklin Roosevelt and First Lady Eleanor! Half of the book takes place as Kit and Aunt Millie tour breathtaking Glacier Park.
