We love the story of Little Oink, which, like Amy Krouse Rosenthal's other "Little" titles, offers a clever take on common tendencies for most children: to want to eat candy, make messes, and not go to bed. The book is done well enough that even little readers pick up on the ironies, making for a fun read.

6.5

I absolutely love this book, as well as others from Amy Krouse Rosenthal. There are so many great details in this book, both in the text and the illustrations, and I can't help but laugh and appreciate how much thought and effort went into making this book so great. I love the simply story idea of a pig who hates to be messy, and the illustrations are simple, sweet, and colorful.
