Nancy Churnin is a theater critic for The Dallas Morning News by night (and occasional matinee) and a children's book author by day. She's the mom of four boys, a dog named Dog and two cats, Toby and White Sox, as well as the author of multiple picture book biographies, including THE WILLIAM HOY STORY, HOW A DEAF BASEBALL PLAYER CHANGED THE GAME, on multiple state reading lists; MANJHI MOVES A MOUNTAIN, the 2018 winner of the South Asia Book Award and other honors; CHARLIE TAKES HIS SHOT: HOW CHARLIE SIFFORD BROKE THE COLOR BARRIER IN GOLF, featured at the Ruby Bridges Reading Festival at the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis; IRVING BERLIN, THE IMMIGRANT BOY WHO MADE AMERICA SING and THE QUEEN AND THE FIRST CHRISTMAS TREE. A native New Yorker, Nancy is a graduate of Harvard University, with a master's from Columbia University who likes to sing from Broadway musicals and just about anything by Irving Berlin.

Yevgenia is an award-winning author and illustrator. Her illustrations have appeared in picture books, magazines, theatre posters, music albums, and book covers, and her paintings, stage designs, and illustrations are featured in private collections worldwide. Born in Kiev, Ukraine she now lives in New York City where she enjoys people-watching on her subway rides and eavesdropping in coffee shops.
