Margaret O’Hair has her master’s degree in education and is a teacher in northern California, where she lives with her family and her Portuguese Water Dog, Shelby. Her two children, born a little over a year apart, were the inspiration for Twin to Twin, her first book.
Tammie Lyon began her love for drawing at a young age while sitting at the kitchen table with her dad. She continued her love of art and eventually attended The Columbus College of Art and Design, where she earned a Bachelors degree in Fine Art. After a brief career as a professional ballet dancer, she decided to devote herself full time to illustration. Today she lives with her husband, Lee, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her dogs, Gus and Dudley, keep her company as she works in her studio.
A long time ago in a city far, far away (known as Baltimore), a space dinosaur was born. Kevin O’Malley and Patrick O’Brien dreamed up Captain Raptor and started creating books about his daring deeds. They received more fan mail for Captain Raptor and the Moon Mystery and Captain Raptor and the Space Pirates (Walker Children’s) than for any of their many, many other books. Ten years later they’re back at it, concocting impossible situations for Captain Raptor in the long-awaited third installment of the series.
