Girls Who Code Books

Stacia Deutsch is the author of more than fifty children’s books, including the award-winning chapter book series Blast to the Past. She also wrote the tween novel Mean Ghouls, as well as books for the Nancy Drew, Clue Crew, and The Boxcar Children series. Stacia has been on the New York Times Bestseller list for the novelizations of the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and The Smurfs movies.

Jo Whittemore is the author of the tween humor novels, Front Page Face-Off, Odd Girl In, D is for Drama, Colonial Madness, and the Confidentially Yours series. She also penned The Silverskin Legacy fantasy trilogy. Jo is a member of the SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) and is one of the founding members of The Texas Sweethearts & Scoundrels. When she isn’t writing, Jo spends her time with family and friends in Austin, dreaming of the day she can afford a chocolate house.

Michelle Schusterman is the author of I Heart Band, a Scholastic Reading Club pick, The Kat Sinclair Files, and Olive and the Backstage Ghost. She’s also an instructor at Writopia Lab, a nonprofit organization that offers creative-writing workshops for children and teens from all backgrounds.

RESHMA SAUJANI is the Founder and CEO of Girls Who Code, a national nonprofit organization working to close the gender gap in technology while teaching girls confidence and bravery through coding. She’s been named one of Fortune‘s 40 under 40, a WSJ magazine innovator of the year, one of the 50 most powerful women in New York by the New York Daily News,Forbes‘s Most Powerful Women Changing the World, Business Insider‘s 50 Women Who Are Changing the World, and an AOL/PBS MAKER. She is the author of Girls Who Code, a New York Times bestselling book for young readers.

Sarah Hutt is a writer, director, and documentary supervising producer. She is the author of several nonfiction books for children and young adults, and her film work has appeared on The Discovery Channel, National Geographic Wild, MSNBC, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, The History Channel, and VICELAND, to name a few.

Josh Funk writes silly stories such as the Lady Pancake & Sir French Toast series, the How to Code with Pearl and Pascal series, the It’s Not a Fairy Tale series, the A Story of Patience & Fortitude series in conjunction with the New York Public Library, Dear Dragon, Albie Newton, Pirasaurs!, A Night at the Bookstore: A Barnsie & Noble Adventure, and more coming soon!
