How to Read the Enchanted Forest Chronicles
For the continuing story, read Dealing with Dragons, Searching for Dragons, Calling on Dragons, and Talking to Dragons in the current numbered order. This follows Cimorene's life and the Enchanted Forest's timeline from beginning to end.
The publication history is unusual: Talking to Dragons first appeared in 1985, before the other three books were written as prequels. The author and current publisher now place it fourth, where its story occurs.
