In 2011, she created the first iPad magazine for children, Timbuktu magazine. She is the founder and CEO of Timbuktu Labs. Francesca Cavallo was born in Taranto (Southern Italy) in 1983. She grew up in Italy, graduated with high honors at the University of Milan and got an MFA at the Academy of Dramatic Art “Paolo Grassi” in stage directing. She founded her own theater company and toured Italy, Germany and Switzerland with her award-winning plays.
