Mr. Wolf's Class Books

Read the five published graphic novels in numbered order, beginning with Mr. Wolf's Class and continuing through Snow Day. Each book centers on a different stretch of school life, but friendships and classroom relationships develop from one volume to the next.

A sixth book, The New Student, has been announced but was still forthcoming when this page was reviewed, so it is not included in the published total. New readers should start with Book 1 to meet the large class a few students at a time.

The conflicts are grounded in elementary-school life: a student briefly goes missing, children spread rumors, friendships become complicated, and a bike accident causes an injury. Later stories include an overnight field trip, mild ghost-story suspense, severe weather, and worry about a sibling's surgery.

The class includes children with different personalities, families, cultures, and needs. The books make room for anxiety, tiredness, jealousy, mistakes, and misunderstandings while emphasizing empathy, communication, and a teacher who keeps learning alongside his students.
