How to Read the Five Nights at Freddy's Graphic Novels

Read the five Fazbear Frights Graphic Novel Collections in volume order, beginning with Vol. 1. Each volume adapts three stories from the prose anthologies. These comics do not replace the full 12-book Fazbear Frights series.

Scholastic also labels the Frights collections as Five Nights at Freddy's Graphic Novel #4 through #8, picking up after the original trilogy adaptations. This page keeps the collection volume numbers 1-5 so the Frights line is not mixed with the trilogy's 1-3 numbering.

The original trilogy graphic novels retell The Silver Eyes, The Twisted Ones, and The Fourth Closet. The Tales from the Pizzaplex graphic novel collections adapt selected later anthology stories and restart at Vol. 1. Those lines stay on their own series pages. Pizzaplex Vol. 4 is announced for 2027 and is not counted yet.

What Parents Should Know

Scholastic recommends these graphic novels for ages 12 and up. They come from a survival-horror game about haunted animatronics, and the comics keep that tone: murders, missing children, stalking, body horror, and kids in real danger.

The Frights and Pizzaplex collections are short, self-contained scare stories. The original trilogy is one continuous mystery about Charlie and her friends. A child who likes spooky middle-grade graphic novels may still find this darker than that shelf.

Wants one continuous story
