Summary
On a bright spring morning, a dark cloud of smoke engulfs GOTHAM CITY. The fearsome SCARECROW has turned day into night. Surprisingly, the crook doesn’t resist BATMAN’S attempt to arrest him. Since 1986, Martin Powell has been a freelance writer. He has written hundreds of stories, many of which have been published by Disney, Marvel, Tekno comix, Moonstone Books, and others. In 1989, Powell received an Eisner Award nomination for his graphic novel Scarlet in Gaslight. This award is one of the highest comic book honors.

He is the author of more than 100 books for children and young adults. He has written The Everything Kid’s Joke Book and Gotcha Covered! to nonfiction books that get kids excited about reading. He loves to write mysteries His five-book Finnegan Zwake mystery series published by Simon & Schuster won rave reviews. He also wrote a creepy series called The Library of Doom and another called Dragonblood.
