Daniel Haack began writing at a young age, although much of his earliest work centered exclusively around his desire to be a swashbuckling hero. Like the Prince and the Knight, he just wants to save the day and get the boy, too. He has since written for various publications and collections, and Prince & Knight is his debut children’s book. He graduated from Ithaca College and is a Saul Zaentz Fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He currently works in children’s educational media, for which he won a Daytime Emmy Award. Originally from Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, and formerly a New Yorker, Daniel now splits his time between Los Angeles and Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Isabel Galupo lives and works in Los Angeles. She graduated from Ithaca College as a Park Scholar with a BS in screenwriting and also participated in the Lambda Literary Writers Retreat for Emerging LGBTQ Voices. When not writing, Isabel FaceTimes with her four younger sisters and daydreams about the fat, squishy pug that she will one day adopt. Visit isabelgalupo.com to learn more.
Stevie Lewis has been living on the road in a van (she built out herself!) for the past 3 years, furthering her passion for climbing, art, and the outdoors. Striving to live simply and tread lightly on the earth, she gathers inspiration from a variety of places, be it climbing in the high desert at Smith Rock State Park, hiking and foraging for wild plants in the forests of southeastern Alaska, or sharing stories with fellow travelers around a campfire. After working for several years at DreamWorks Animation Studios, she now illustrates children’s books and creates art based on her travels. Her latest illustrated work includes Prince & Knight by Daniel Haack, Lost in the Library by Josh Funk, the Finding Serendipity series by Angelica Banks, and the upcoming SUN! One in a Billion by Stacy McAnulty.
