Wonky Donkey Books

The six distinct books are shown in publication order. The stories are short and self-contained, but starting with The Wonky Donkey introduces the wordplay and family that later books build on.

The Wonky Donkey Sound Book is an interactive adaptation of the first story, not a seventh story, so it is not included in the main sequence.

These are quick, highly repetitive read-alouds designed for children to join in. Much of the humor comes from tongue-twisting adjectives, exaggerated animal noises, and characters being proudly odd.

Words such as stinky, cranky, and wonky drive the comedy, but there is no meaningful peril. Children who enjoy noisy participation and silly language are the natural audience.
