It looks like an opposites book, but really it is a physics lesson told in bright colors with expressive animals which are expectant, anxious, hopeful, and exuberant by turns. For younger readers, there is a butterfly fluttering on each page to search for and point out. Suspense builds as, one by one, animals hop onto the teeter-totter opposite the weight of the elephant. This book is great on the basic story level and even better as a jumping off point to talk about and experiment with weights and balance.
