A wonderful story about family history and a necklace passed town to each granddaughter. This book is really inspiring and helps you get to know each women in the family line and how they influenced each other's lives. It made me want to learn more about my own ancestors!

She is also a poet, and a member of the Cave Canem Fellowship for African-American Poets.
