To the Gitxsan people of northwestern British Columbia, the grizzly is an integral part of the natural landscape. They share the land and forests the Skeena River runs through, as well as the sockeye salmon within it. The Grizzly Mother explores how an ecosystem’s animals, people and seasons are all intertwined.
<strong>Natasha Donovan</strong> is a freelance artist and illustrator from Vancouver, British Columbia. Her sequential work has been published in <i>The Other Side</i> anthology and will appear in the forthcoming anthology <i>This Place: 150 Years Retold</i>. She is the illustrator of the award-winning children’s book, <i>The Sockeye Mother</i>. Natasha is a member of the Métis Nation of British Columbia.
