“While I absolutely adore Eric Carle's books in general and particularly his signature illustration style, the repetitiveness of the wording in this story is great for young readers but becomes a little painful as a read aloud. This book is great for reinforcing telling time (with the clock in the corner of each page showing what time it is) and introduces kids to a host of bugs and then increasingly larger animals. Is it better to fight or to share? The grouchy ladybug might just learn a thing or two.”
