Biography

E. Nesbit (1858–1924) was an English author who wrote some of the very first modern adventure stories for children, including The Railway Children and Five Children and It. She loved magic, trains, and giving ordinary kids the chance to have extraordinary adventures. Her playful stories have inspired generations of writers and are still read and loved by children today.
