What's This Book About

Publisher Summary

All is quiet in the jungle. But not for long! “Who bit my lovely green bottom?” shouts Frog. He rushes to tell King Lion, who will surely know just what to do. But soon Monkey (eek-eek-eek! ) and Zebra (ya-a-a hooo! ) encounter something mighty and bitey, too. Can the King of the Jungle save them all? What kind of creature would test its super-sharp teeth on everything it meets? Vivid illustrations, rhythmic language, and a surprise perpetrator combine for a rollicking read.

My 3 year old thought this was hilarious, but I thought it was just OK, and the creature biting everyone's bottom solidified both his (and my opinion).

The Creatives Behind the Book

    Author
    Ronda Armitage

Ronda Armitage was born in New Zealand but moved to England with her family in 1974. Her husband, David, illustrated most of her earlier books including the Lighthouse Keeper series but she now works with a number of other talented illustrators. She probably became a writer because she always loved reading. Her first job was teaching young children so she read many wonderful books to them. Although she loves writing she often thinks of many other things to do before she begins work on a new book. A walk in the woods, some gardening, maybe ringing a friend. She is a procrastinator. Finally with a little snack, preferably of grapes or mangoes she will open her computer and write.

    Illustrator
    Nikki Dyson

Nikki Dyson is the illustrator of a number of picture books for children, including Dinosaurs Don’t Have Bedtimes by Timothy Knapman. She has also done work for Hallmark and National Geographic Kids. She lives in England.
