Can Betsy trust her wolf friend Zimmo on a cupcake delivery to Grandma?
Betsy embarks on her first solo journey to deliver cupcakes to Grandma, accompanied by her loyal sheep and her wolf friend, Zimmo. But as they venture through the woods, Betsy must confront the possibility that Zimmo's instincts might turn Grandma into a snack. In this playful twist on Little Red Riding Hood, Betsy navigates friendship and trust, questioning if Zimmo can resist his nature. Will Grandma be safe, or will Zimmo's wolfish side prevail? Join Betsy in this delightful adventure filled with suspense and humor, perfect for young readers and cupcake enthusiasts alike.
Betsy is finally old enough to take cupcakes to Grandma all by herself—with the company of her faithful sheep, of course. And although wolves aren’t good for grandmas, Betsy lets her best friend, Zimmo, come along too. But will Zimmo’s wolfish instincts make Grandma the tasty treat instead? In her second picture book starring the feisty young shepherd Betsy, Newbery Honor author Gail Carson Levine teams up once again with Scott Nash to put a hilarious twist on an old favorite. This reimagining of Little Red Riding Hood is sure to delight readers from little lambs to cupcake-loving grandmas.

“This is an incredibly clever and ORIGINAL take on the story of Little Red Riding Hood... what else would you expect from the author of Ella Enchanted?! I won't spoil the surprise, but this book will keep you guessing the entire time and the clever word play ("pulled the wool over their eyes" was a favorite) and funny sheep asides added a layer of welcome humor as well.”
