How to Read the Ella Enchanted Books
Publication order is the easiest route: Ella Enchanted, Fairest, then Ogre Enchanted. These are connected stand-alone novels rather than a publisher-numbered trilogy, so each tells a complete fairy-tale story with its own main character.
Fairest takes place in Ayortha, the home of Ella's friend Areida. Ogre Enchanted happens earlier and includes characters and history from Ella Enchanted, but first-time readers should still begin with Ella so those connections have context.
