The simple illustration style captures the feeling of searching in the dark, when often only outlines of shapes can be seen. Yet there is still a lot to study and observe on each page, and some mischief to discover, too. The dark outlines contrast in a fun way with the detail that emerges wherever the flashlight shines.”
