“This is a beautiful book! At the surface, the two brothers compete throughout the story to be their mother's favorite, but she skillfully values each of them for their individual uniqueness. What makes this book so wonderful though is its level of detail in describing the activities of the mother and her boys as well as the natural world. This family has a great sense of wonder and appreciation for the world around them that is worth cultivating. When one is so attuned to the world's wonders, gratitude comes easily and nothing is taken for granted.”
