From the publisher

Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle has gone away unexpectedly and left her niece, Missy Piggle-Wiggle, in charge of the Upside-Down House and the beloved animals who live there: Lester the pig, Wag the dog, and Penelope the parrot, among others. Families in town soon realize that like her great-aunt, Missy Piggle-Wiggle has inventive cures for all sorts of childhood (mis)behavior: The Whatever Cure and the Just-a-Minute Cure, for instance. What is a stressed out parent to do? Why, call Missy Piggle-Wiggle, of course! New York Times-bestselling author Ann Martin brings her signature warmth and comic genius to a new character. And artist Ben Hatke brings it all to life!

Talk about it together

Missy Piggle-Wiggle uses magic potions to help cure children of bad habits or manners. You could use this topic as a discussion point for why the behaviors Missy magically fixed were unsuitable, as well as what we can do in real life (without the help from magic sprinkles!) to improve our manners and behavior.

5.5

From the author of the Babysitter's Club, this follow up to the Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle books is so much fun! It's funny, relatable, and magical. Missy is Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle's niece, and this story is great for both boys and girls alike! There are some illustrations throughout the book, making it even more fun to read. This is an especially good book if you use natural consequences in your parenting style, as many of Missy's magical cures to children's qualities that need cures lead to consequences that teach them to behave better.
