Read Shelter, Seconds Away, and Found in numbered order. Each book has an immediate mystery, but the questions about Mickey's father and the Abeona Shelter continue across all three.

Mickey first appears in Harlan Coben's adult Myron Bolitar novel Live Wire. That appearance adds context, but it is not required before starting Shelter.
