The Magic School Bus Books

Bruce Degen illustrated all the Jesse Bear books. He was the author and illustrator of Jamberry, and the illustrator of the acclaimed Magic School Bus series. He taught courses on art and the writing and illustrating of children’s books to children and adults. Mr. Degen lived with his wife and their two sons in Connecticut in a renovated farmhouse with ducks on the pond, bats in the barn, and a family tree that Jesse Bear himself would love to climb.

Joanna Cole is the author of the popular Magic School Bus series, I’m a Big Brother, I’m a Big Sister, and many other award-winning books. In Asking About Sex & Growing Up, she provides a reassuring blend of practical guidance and scientific fact for the audience that needs it most.

Nancy Krulik is the author of more than 200 books for children and young adults, including three New York Times bestsellers. She is best known, however, for being the author and creator of the Katie Kazoo Switcheroo, George Brown Class Clown, How I Survived Middle School and Magic Bone book series. Nancy lives in Manhattan with her husband, composer Daniel Burwasser. When she’s not writing, Nancy can be found reading, going to concerts, traveling or running around Central Park with her crazy beagle mix, Josie.

Eva Moore has been writing and editing children’s books for more than forty years. She is the beloved author of many popular books, and lives in Montauk, New York.
