Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara, born in Barcelona, Spain, is a writer and creative director in constant search of new concepts for children’s books and the author of the multimillion-copy best-selling Little People, BIG DREAMS series of picture books that explore the lives of outstanding people. Working for more than fifteen years for clients in top advertising agencies, her books combine creativity with learning, aiming to establish a new and fresh relationship between children and pop culture.
Lisbeth Kaiser is writer and editor who works on websites, billboards, commercials and books. Her first book, “”Maya Angelou,”” was selected for the Amelia Bloomer List in 2016. She also wrote “”Rosa Parks”” and “”Emmeline Pankhurst,”” which was chosen for the 2017 Amelia Bloomer list. Ana Albero studied Illustration at ENSAD Paris and UdK Berlin where she graduated in 2008. Together with Till Hafenbrak and Paul Paetzel she is co-founder of the artist group Edition Biografiktion. Mariadiamantes is a graphic design and illustration studio whose heart, head and hands lie in Clara Mercader, an artist and designer based in Barcelona. Clara’s projects are delicate, coloristic, minimalistic and warm, all of them featured by one core element: the synthesis of shapes and colors. A reduced palette and the cleaning of silhouettes are the basis for her very unique and personal style. As an artist, Clara’s reached a wide range of audiences, and she is always willing to adapt her shapes, textures, colors and techniques to each different project in order to meet the customer’s needs. Her former projects include works for clients such as Volkswagen, Amazon, Ajuntament de Barcelona, Estrella Damm, Banc de Sabadell and some small companies, amongst many others.
Leire Salaberria was born in Andoain (Spain) in 1983. Currently, she lives and works in San Sebastian. She has majored in Fine Arts in Bilbao and studied a postgraduate in Children Illustration in Barcelona. Leire has exhibited her artwork in different countries around the world. Her work has been selected to appear in Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2012, IV Ibero-American catalog of illustration 2013, 2014, and the Sharjah International Book Fair 2013, 2014. Since 2011, when she published her first book, she’s illustrated several books in Italy, Mexico and Spain. At the moment, she continues to illustrate children’s books, which is her favorite type of work.
I’m graduated in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, a beautifull city in the east coast of Spain. Now I live and work in Madrid from my shared studio with the creative designer Ray Díaz (www.ray-diaz.com) , with whom I collaborate in the developement of illustration projects for the field of culture and the enviroment. At the same time, I work for clients all over the world, through my agents Anna Goodson in USA and Katie Pierrot in Australia. I have published in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal or the Boston Globe among others. I have a total of fifteen illustrated and published picture books in different countries. …and I have a very naughty daughter called Chloé!
Amaia Arrazola lives in Barcelona. She started her professional career in the advertising world, working at McCan Erickson Madrid, before pursuing her career in illustration. She loves typography, ceramics, embroidery, and graphic design.
Zafeiroula Simopoulou, known professionally as Zafouko Yamamoto, is a greek illustrator specialising in children’s books. She is known for illustrating the character of Ada Lovelace, from the famous book series Little People, Big Dreams by the author Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara. Zafouko lives and works in Greece, where she studied Architecture, before persuing carreer in the world of illustration. Some more things about her: She loves animals, drinking coffee, chewing gums and of course illustrating!

Christine Roussey is the author-illustrator of My Lazy Cat and the illustrator of Hello in There, In My Heart, Brave As Can Be, All My Treasures, and In My Room. She works in advertising, as well as with newspapers, magazines, and publishers. She lives in Paris.
Anuska Allepuz grew up in Spain, where she studied fine arts at the University of Salamanca. She is a full-time illustrator, and she lives in south London.
Laura Callaghan is an Irish illustrator based in South East London. She graduated with an MA in Illustration from Kingston University in 2010. Her clients include The Guardian, V&A, Nylon magazine, The Sunday Times, The Sunday Telegraph, Pitchfork, and Seventeen magazine.
Mai Ly Degnan is an award-winning illustrator and illustration professor, currently based in Baltimore, MD. She earned her BFA in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design, as well as her MFA in Illustration Practice at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Mai Ly enjoys creating humorous illustrations with tedious line work, pattern making, and bright colors. Her work has been recognized by The Society of Illustrators of New York and Los Angeles, American Illustration, and 3x3. Selected clients include: Boston Globe, Baltimore City Paper, VICE Magazine, NPR, and Frankie Magazine.

Lisa Koesterke is a German-Australian illustrator, artist and designer. Her vibrant illustrations are often inspired by everyday life and childhood memories, nature, food and strong female characters, which are all recurring themes in her work. She graduated from the Queensland College of Art (Griffith University) in Brisbane, Australia. Recent clients include: CARE Australia, Ohh Deer, Lucy & Yak, and Papyrus Greetings.

Miranda Sofroniou is a British Illustrator living in Melbourne, Australia. She graduated from The University of the Arts London (Camberwell College of Art) in 2012 with a degree in Illustration. Taking inspiration from travel and nature, she creates rich and colourful illustrations by hand, pairing loose brushstrokes with abundant detail. My name is Mark Hoffmann, but some folks know me as “”Hoffmann”” or “”Hoffy””. I am currently working as a children’s book author/illustrator, editorial illustrator, and fine artist. I am also a professor at Montserrat College of Art in the illustration department. After growing up in Minnesota, I moved to the east coast for college and remained here ever since. Paulina Morgan works as an independent illustrator based in Santiago de Chile. She studied design before moving to Barcelona, Spain to obtain her master’s degree in Art Direction. She worked in advertising before deciding to pursue her passion for illustration.

Teresa Bellon was born in Albacete, Spain. She spent a few years wandering around life, studying different things and doing drawings just for her mom and dad, until she finally accepted her fate and enrolled in a course in Illustration in Madrid. She began working for national and international clients and has since held several exhibitions. Teresa doesn’t stay at home waiting for inspiration, she sets out to find it; she travels, buys illustrated books, and walks a lot in Madrid.
Kelsey Garrity-Riley earned her degree in illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She illustrates books, magazines, greeting cards, and window displays. She lives in Brooklyn.
Alexander Mostov is a Seattle-based illustrator whose work has been featured by Google, Facebook, and the Columbus Museum of Art. Previous books include D-Day: Untold Stories of the Normandy Landings Inspired by 20 Real-Life People published by Frances Lincoln Children’s Books, 2019.
