Stories behind the story

Where did you originally get the idea for The Frog Princess?

I read a lot of classic fairy tales to my kids when they were little. I was thinking about the story of The Frog Prince and wondered what if when the princess kisses the frog she doesn't turn him back into a prince, but by some twist of magic is turned into a frog herself. By E.D. Baker (author)

What is your favorite thing about Emma?

I love that Emma is brave except when it comes to her magic. She is often afraid she is going to make a mess of it. By E.D. Baker (author)
