    The Creative Behind the Book

      Author
      D.A. D'Aurelio

Debbie D’Aurelio grew up in Ocala, Florida, known for thoroughbred horses and love bug season which comes twice a year. She studied Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida and spent twenty years crafting mini-stories in advertising agencies including J. Walter Thompson in Los Angeles. Debbie has lived in five states, along three coasts and visited many states in between. She enjoys finding out how people choose to work, live, and play and has been known to ask total strangers their life stories. She draws on these experiences and combines fact with fiction in her middle-grade stories. Currently, Debbie lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband and two children. She’s an advocate for public parks and served on the county parks & recreation board for six years. She volunteers in the front office of the middle school, which she considers valuable research for her next book.
