“This book is a little bit amusing, and adults might think it's funnier than children would. Fran's (short for Frankenstein) friends laugh that his cut-out paper heart looks like a little pink "butt," so something to keep in mind if you're trying to help your readers avoid that kind of language or humor. The book plays on the ideas that children have of what it means to be in love and then explains that love is more than just feeling "mushy mushy" about someone or giving them a kiss--one the lips! So there's a worthwhile message if you're not worried about the humor.”
