The beloved, bestselling Nancy Tillman returns with a picture book celebrating what makes every child special in their own way. Part of growing up is discovering—and embracing—what makes us unique. From different abilities to different personalities, we are all wonderfully made with our own bells and whistles.
This book celebrates each of unique talents, skills, and abilities. This book would be great for a new parent or a student heading into their first year of school.
The message is great: you are unique and wonderful. I love that, but I didn't love the execution here. The illustrations are nice, but there's this whole thing going on with animals that I wasn't sure had a point. The rhyming text often felt forced and uncomfortable, and doesn't flow aloud they way I'd like it to. All in all, it felt like this is not so much a book for kids as a book for adults to think is a great book for kids.
