Dr. Laura Gehl

Biography

Dr. Laura Gehl holds a BA in psychology from Yale University and a PhD in neuroscience from Georgetown. She has nearly twenty years of experience teaching and writing about science for elementary, middle, and high school students. Dr. Gehl’s debut picture book, One Big Pair of Underwear, was the inaugural winner of the CBC/MSRI Mathical Prize, a Charlotte Zolotow Highly Commended Title, and a Booklist Best Books for Youth Editors’ Pick. Dr. Gehl frequently speaks at schools, bringing science into many of her presentations. She lives in Maryland.
